They offer three types of membership:

  • Executive Membership that has a $110 membership fee annually that comes with a free Household card and has maximum benefits like 2% reward points, additional discounts and benefits on travel products.
  • Business Membership can be purchased with an annual membership of $ 55 (plus taxes). Affiliate membership can be purchased at $ 55 per member and apart from the free Household card it also allows for purchase for resale.
  • Gold Star Membership has an annual membership of $ 55 (plus taxes) and provides a free Household card.

A changing inventory is what Costco is known for as they tend to have seasonal products which are offered for a limited period of time. An airplane hangar in Morena Boulevard (San Diego) was converted to a warehouse to serve small businesses and that is how the multi million dollar global giant was born on 12 July, 1976 and the name was Price Club Warehouse after the founder Sol Price and son Robert Price.
